Back in 2024, I saw this pretty miniature LaMancha doeling pop up in a local group - with genetics from the Carolinas that I'd long admired. In short, I got a birthday present!
The best way to describe Yona is a LOT. She's here, she's there, she's standing on the fence, under your feet...She may be low in the pecking order but you'd never know it because she's getting in there and eating no matter what. Yona will take food from you all day long but would rather you not pet her, thank you very much.
I've been proud of her as a first freshener. Kidded easily, and is a great dam. Her kids did favor one side early in lactation so I milked her just a bit and even put one of the quads on her. Her udder is soft though her teats are a bit smaller.
Though I've admired her dam line, these are entirely new genetics to me so we'll see how it goes! The milk and structure are definitely in her pedigree.
