About the Farm
Thank you for stopping by!
Hefty Goat Holler Farm is home to registered Kinders, Miniature LaManchas, and mixed breed, dual-purpose goats. The goal is to raise happy, healthy animals that are efficient and productive - goats that can provide families with delicious milk and milk products and/or meat. Hefty Goat Holler Farm is located in the beautiful Ozarks of northwest Arkansas. The farm is comprised of three hills and two valleys - what we call hollers. It is very well-suited to browsing goats!
The farm was purchased in 2014 and began with just three goats. I fell in love with these amazing, personable creatures and began growing the herd and consuming every scrap of information I could find on how to raise happy, healthy goats. I've included some of those sources here: Goat Husbandry Resources.
In 2017, I took the plunge into registered stock and added Kinders to the herd. In 2018, I added my first registered Miniature LaMancha. I am currently a member of the Kinder Goat Breeders Association (KGBA), the Miniature Dairy Goat Association (MDGA) and the Dual Purpose Goat Project (DPGP). I love both of these breeds and the crosses, and I am excited to set and achieve more herd goals. Registered or unregistered, goats are just my favorite critters, and I want to take care of them to the best of my ability.
